A sentence is a group of words that makes complete sense. It starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop, question mark, or exclamation mark. Every sentence needs a subject (who) and a verb (does what).
A declarative sentence states a fact: 'The sun is hot.' An interrogative sentence asks a question: 'Is the sun hot?' An exclamatory sentence shows strong feeling: 'The sun is so hot!'
