An adjective is a word that describes a noun. It tells us more about the noun — its size, colour, shape, or how it feels. 'A tall tree' — 'tall' is the adjective describing the tree.

When we compare two things, we use comparative adjectives. Add -er for short words: tall → taller. Use 'more' for longer words: beautiful → more beautiful. 'Than' comes after: 'Atembe is taller than Heru.'
